The Oxford Round Table is an independent academic organization and is not formally affiliated with or operated by the University of Oxford. Its history in Oxford, however, dates back to 1989, when the first Round Table was convened at St Peter’s College with the involvement of the Norham Centre for Leadership Studies at the University of Oxford and Virginia Tech.

What began as an initiative focused on educational policy and leadership has since developed into an international forum bringing together scholars, researchers, educators, policymakers, and professionals from around the world. More than three decades later, the Round Table continues that original tradition of scholarly exchange through independently organized symposiums held within Oxford’s historic academic setting.
